Photographers

With the wild growth of digital photography in the past few years, I am frequently asked the same questions again and again by other photographers….
What camera’s, lenses do you use? (Click here .) How did you get started in wedding photography? How did you get started in pro sports photography? What is your workflow? What are your favorite studio lights? How can I be like you??????
Most of these questions have a million good answers. To find the right answer for you, nothing beats one on one discussion, and hands-on experimentation. I will show you the techniques I’ve spent years learning, and walk you through them as you shoot with your own camera, and try out my favorite tools.
I’ve been to a ton of workshops and seminars by big name photographers and while I usually got a small idea or two from them, I rarely learned a whole lot of practical technique, or anything that I would use on a day to day basis.
I have come to the opinion that the best and most efficient way to learn, is through one on one workshops that are tailored to what you need to learn, and use a “learn by doing” philosophy. The day will start at my studio where we will get started and go over the basics, before moving on to either computer work, or a photo session in the studio or on location.
Half Day Sessions (focusing on one of the topics below)

Location Lighting – Using both high powered studio lights, as well as light weight speed lights, we’ll do a location shoot, and return to the studio to edit images.

Studio Lighting – We’ll cover some basic studio lighting setups, as well as some popular current looks you see in magazines. You’ll shoot with many popular light modifiers including Octodomes, Beauty dishes, Ring Flash, Softboxes etc.

Editing and Retouching – How to quickly download and edit your cards, convert RAW files, and retouch final images within hours of the shoot.
Full Day Sessions (Choose 2 of the above topics)
