FAQ’s

How long does it take to get our pictures?

Within 2-3 weeks during peak season, and under 1 week fall-spring.

How many pictures do we get?

Around 100 pictures / hour of coverage. These are edited down from the thousands shot at every wedding. They are all adjusted and edited for great color and contrast, and ready to print!

How do we book our wedding date?

Start by filling out the contact form here. We’ll set up a zoom call to talk more about everything, and go over any questions you might have. Once you’ve chosen a package we can either sign a contract electronically, or have an in-person meeting to finalize everything!

What is your approach to shooting weddings?

My shooting philosophy revolves around capturing as many genuine moments of you with your family and friends as I can. I don’t stage pictures in order to get published on wedding blogs or instagram… Having shot hundreds of weddings, I can tell you that the trendiest photos are always the first to go out of style and look cheesy. Natural, authentic, and real moments of you with your friends and family will be the photos that stand the test of time and will be your favorite images in the future! The best pictures, are always genuine moments that happen during a wedding. Because of this, my approach is unobtrusive, and ideally most of the time people are not even aware they are being photographed. I want guests to be focused on you, and each other, without being distracted by multiple photographers sticking cameras in their faces.
I also want the photo session to be effortless on your part, and just feel like a natural extension of the day. Most of the day you will simply be enjoying spending time with your loved ones as if I was not even there (while I am in the background getting pictures of it!) During the portrait session, when pictures are directed by me, I make it quick and easy for everyone involved. I won’t ask you to do anything that doesn’t come naturally.

Do you have a 2nd shooter?

For many years I worked with an assistant photographer, but now find that I produce better images shooting alone. Other photographers just don’t shoot things the way I would, and having to shoot around them ends up limiting the angles I have. There is one best angle for everything happening, and I want to be the one shooting it 🙂 In certain cases where I do want an extra angle of something, I set up a camera with a remote control to get a second or third angle.

Also, as mentioned above, you get better pictures when people are just having fun and enjoying the day. Each additional photographer or videographer scurrying around and clicking away, just distracts the guests and take the focus off of you.
